FREDA HURLEY

BIRMINGHAM - Freda Hurley, 62, died Tuesday at Jefferson Square Manor in Ottumwa, after a lengthy illness.

She was born Jan. 5, 1915, in Davenport to Frank and Kathern Kelting Fahrenkrug. On April 13, 1941, she married Frederick T. Hurley. He died in 1970.

Surviving are five sons, Robert of Burlington, Wash., John of Agency, James of Ottumwa, Fred of Richland and Pat of Fairfield; one daughter, Patricia LaBounty of Moyock, N.C.; 20 grandchildren; one brother, Albert Fahrenkrug of Davenport; and four sisters, Betty Kulhavy and Bernett Miller, both of Davenport, Marie Eckhoff of Bettendorf and Harriett Strohdehn of Donahue.

The service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Burch Funeral Home, with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.

The casket will be closed at 1 p.m. Saturday.

The family will be at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 8 p.m.
