BIRMINGHAM - Glen Giberson, 93, Birmingham, died at 3:40 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 1992, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Burch-Raymond Funeral Home in Birmingham wiht the Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Glasgow Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials have been established to Glasgow Cemetery and the Birmingham Fire Department.

Giberson was born Oct. 13, 1898, near Stockport, the son of Lafayette and Ila Turnum Giberson. He grew up in Stockport and attended rural Stockport schools. He farmed in Jefferson County all of his adult life and had lived in Birmingham since 1964. He was a former member of Birmingham Lions Club. He married Meda Carter on Dec. 22, 1926, at the First Christian Church parsonage in Fairfield.

Survivors are his wife; two sons, Bob of Stockport, John of Mount Pleasant; a daughter, Dorothy Humphrey of Burlington; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Lloyd of Stockport and a sister, Bonnie Leeper of Plymouth. Six brothers, Elza, Harley, Frank, Jim Irvin and Claude and two sisters, Florence Gire and one in infancy, preceded him in death.
