Killed While Asleep on Track.
John Knauss of Farmington, a billposter with a special advance car of the Yankee Robinson shows, was struck by the eastbound Northwestern passenger train at Dayton. His arms and legs were severed, and the young fellow lay bleeding to death when found by companions leaving the special car. He was within a few feet of his temporary home and died a few minutes later. He had been drinking and insisted upon staying out of doors. He put his head on the track.
