CONNER FUNERAL

MILTON - The service for Karl Conner, 89, who died Thursday, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wellborn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gerald Caughron officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery.

Mr. Conner was born May 13, 1888, at Milton to Aaron and Mary Elizabeth Hubbard Conner. On July 1, 1914, he married Emma Olinger. She preceded him in death.

Surviving are one son, Earl of Portland, Ore.; three daughters, Naomi Downing of Springfield, Ill., Mary Ellen Tatman of Kankakee, Ill., and Bethel Robertson of Streator, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

He had lived most of his life in Milton and Van Buren County and was sexton for many years of Sunnyside Cemetery. A retired well digger, he was well known in the are for water witching.
