VELMA SCHMIDT

FARMINGTON - Velma E. Schmidt, 65, of Farmington, died Thursday at 11:05 a.m. in University Hospitals in Iowa City.

Born Oct. 24, 1910, at Keokuk, to Arthur and Lola Clinton Miller, she was a lifetime Farmington resident and a member of the First Baptist Church. She was a bookkeeper for her husband's service station in Farmington. She married Carl Schmidt May 2, 1937, at Farmington. He survives.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington with the Rev. Gary Worsham officiating. Burial will be in Greenglade Cemetery.
