RAYMOND HUGHES
FARMINGTON - Raymond H. Hughes, 61, of Boulder, Colo., died Friday at 3:55 p.m. in Boulder Community Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born Nov. 24, 1914, at Keosauqua to John W. and Martha Ann Hughes. He married Roberta Keck of Bonaparte on Sept. 6, 1937, at Fort Madison.
A Boulder resident 20 years, he was a Realtor. He was a member of the Boulder Board of Realtors, the First United Methodist Church at Boulder and the Masonic Lodge at Fort Madison.
Surviving are his widow; two sons, Douglas R. of Longmont, Colo., and Richard K. of Santa Barbara, Calif.; five sisters, Elnora Peacock, Lela Holmes and Lula Beggs, all of Keosauqua, Lola Auftin of Titusville, Fla., and Louise Wolf of Fort Madison; four brothers, Roscoe of Keosauqua, Reginald of Los Gatos, Calif., Robert of Sacramento, Calif. and Rex of Milwaukee, Wis.; and three grandchildren.
The service will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington, with the Rev. Scott Holmes officiating. Burial will be in the Bonaparte Cemetery.
The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be left at the funeral home.
