MERLE S. MILLER

KEOSAUQUA - Merle S. Miller, 65, died Saturday at 11:30 p.m. at Veterans Hospital in Iowa City where he had been four months.

He was born July 7, 1911, in Van Buren County to Allen and Amanda Brill Miller. An Army veteran of World War II, he had lived in the Keosauqua community most of his life and was employed 22 years at Barker Equipment Company.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Alice Wiley of Birmingham and Wanda Miller of Fairfield; one son, Specialist Four Sherman Miller of Ft. Ord, Calif.; five granddaughters; and two brothers, William of Keosauqua and Leo of Ottumwa, with whom he had recently.

The service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Gerald Caughron officiating. Burial will be in the Pittsburg Cemetery.
