BENNIE A. HIMES

FARMINGTON - Bennie Allen Himes, 59, of Farmington died Sunday at 3:30 a.m. at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua. He had been ill a month.

He was born March 9, 1917, at Coal City to Isaac A. and Lissie Ray Himes. He married Dorothy Zestal in 1939.

A Farmington resident 21 years, he had been employed by the CB & Q Railroad.

Surviving are two sons, Wilbur of Kahoka, Mo., and Danny of West Point; and two daughters, Mrs. Richard Losey of Farmington and Mrs. Barbara Lyon of West Point; two brothers, Virgil and George; four sisters, Betty Abbott, Juanita Pickrell of Ottumwa, Iva Davis of Donnellson and Bertha Sleeth; and seven grandchildren.

The service will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington, with the Rev. Scott Holmes officiating. Burial will be in Greenglade Cemetery.

Visitation will be tonight from 7 to 8:30.
