BERYL I. MILLER

KEOSAUQUA - Mrs. Beryl I. Miller, 69, of Keosauqua died Wednesday at 5:20 p.m. at Van Buren County Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

She was born Feb. 7, 1907, in Clark County, Mo., to George and Alice Hunter Merrick. On Jan. 26, 1927, she married Leo Miller in Fairfield. They farmed north of Keosauqua until retiring to town in 1972.

She was a member of the Keosauqua United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, several local clubs, and had been a longtime Sunday school teacher and 4-H leader.

Surviving are her widower; one son, Dwight of West Branch; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Shobe of Milton; five granddaughters; two brothers, Charles Merrick of Luray, Mo.; and two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Madden of Farmington and Mrs. Anna Lee Smith of Cabool, Mo.

The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Keosauqua United Methodist Church, with the Rev. John Cornish officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
