MARGARET STRAIT

KEOSAUQUA - Mrs. Margaret Strait, 77, died Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at her home northeast of Keosauqua.

She was born July 30, 1897, near Keosauqua to Francis and Sarah Pate McIntosh and lived most of her life in this area.

Surviving are her widower, Bruce; a son, Kent Werts of Marshalltown; a daughter, Mrs. Dana Blaskey of Des Moines; a step-son, Stanley Strait of Keosauqua; 10 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Wapello, White Shrine in Muscatine, American Legion Auxiliary in Keosauqua and attended the Keosauqua Christian Church.

The service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, the Rev. Bill Bensheimer officiating. Burial will be in Pittsburg Cemetery.
