HARVEY STRAH

FARMINGTON - Harvey Strah, 62, of Farmington died Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at his home.

He was born April 16, 1913 at Fort Madison to John and Agnes Kelly Strah. He married Gertrude Moreland Nov. 17, 1940, at Palmyra, Mo. She survives.

A retired employe of the Iowa Army Amunition Plant in Burlington, he spent most of his life in Farmington.

He was a member of the Richardson Anthony American Legion Post in Farmington. A veteran of World War II, he served in the Coast Guard.

Also surviving are one brother, Darrell Strah of Brookfield, Ill., and one sister, Margaret Strah of Chicago.

The service was scheduled to be held today at 1:30 p.m. at the Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home, the Rev. Scott Holmes officiating. Burial was in Greenglade Cemetery.
