PEARL ROBERTS

CANTRIL - Pearl E. Roberts, 99, died Tuesday at 8:45 p.m. at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Shull of Ottumwa.

She was born Jan. 28, 1877, in Keosauqua to Nelson and Sarah Hankey Hoskins. On Dec. 23, 1894, she married Willis Roberts. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are one son, Lee Van of Mystic, Conn.; four daughters, Mrs. Hazel Denny of Moline, Ill., Mrs. Ethel Mitchell of Tucson, Ariz., Mrs. Wilma Brown of Effingham, Ill., and Mrs. Shull; and two grandchildren.

The service will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Cantril United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Herbert DeMello officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.

The body is at Wellborn Funeral Home in Milton.
