DALE JANNINGS

FARMINGTON - Dale Jannings, 63, of Creston died there Saturday in the Greater Community Hospital.

He was born Feb. 18, 1913, at Fairfield to Walter and Nellie Harper Jannings. On May 13, 1934, he married Ruth Munford at Stockport.

From 1934 to 1952, he lived at Farmington. He then lived in Keokuk until moving to Creston in 1972. He was a painter.

Mr. Jannings was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints (RLDS), and the Keokuk Coin Club in which he had held several offices.

Surviving are his widow; two sons, Larry of Creston and Steve of Corning; four foster children, Mrs. James Kavanaugh, and Mike, Susie and Pate Keefe, all of Keokuk; one sister, Mrs. Roy Dresser of Donnellson; three brothers, Rex of Hillsboro, Russell of Newbern, Tenn., and Waldo of Troy; and five grandchildren.

The service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the RLDS Church at Farmington, with elders Larry Jannings and Carl Jones officiating. Burial will be in Greenglade Cemetery at Farmington.

The family will be at Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington tonight from 7 to 9 o’clock.

A memorial has been established for the United Parkinson’s Foundation.
