FINDLAY FUNERAL

Douds - The service for Ella Mae Findlay, 60, who died Monday, will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds. The Rev. Donald Strauch will officiate, and burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery.

Mrs. Findlay was born Oct. 13, 1915, near Douds to Daniel and Nettie Cable Laughlin.

In 1932, she married Claude Findlay. They farmed in the Douds community until moving to the Blakesburg area in 1955. They retired to Douds last November.

Surviving are her widower; four sons, Earl and Clifford, both of Moline, Ill., Hugh of Fairfield and Ronald of home; two daughters, Mrs. Irene Nelson of Cantril and Mrs. Lorene Shipley of Douds; 20 grandchildren; one great-grandson; three brothers, Dave and Floyd Laughlin, both of Douds, and Ernest Laughlin of Birmingham; and three sisters, Mrs. Edna Leyden of Birmingham, Mrs. Esther Ross of Douds and Mrs. Leona Van Der Wall of Chicago.
