BERTHA EDWARDS

CANTRIL - Bertha Edwards, 91, died Thursday at St. Joseph Hospital in Ottumwa.

She was born Feb. 23, 1885, near Troy, and was a telephone operator for many years at Troy and Cantril. She was a 50-year member of Eastern Star at Cantril.

Surviving are two stepsons, Arthur Parker of Ottumwa and Dale Edwards of Stockport, nieces and nephews.

The service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Cantril United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Herbert DeMello officiating. Burial will be in the Troy Cemetery.

The body is at Wellborn Funeral Home in Milton.
