FRANK WOODIN

CANTRIL - Frank Woodin, 82, of Cantril died Thursday at 9 a.m. at Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield, where he had been since Feb. 14.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Woodin Sr., he was born Sept. 1, 1893, in Des Moines Township of Van Buren County. He and his wife, Pauline Battin Woodin, farmed in the Cantril community until retiring in 1971. She was a longtime county deputy auditor.

He was a member of Cantril United Methodist Church, Apollo Lodge of A.F. & A.M. and Cantril Chapter of Eastern Star.

Surviving is his widow.

The service will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Cantril United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Herbert DeMello officiating. Masonic rites will follow. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Bloomfield.

The body will be taken to the church from Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua at 11 a.m. Saturday.

A memorial has been established payable to his church.
