IVAN CRENSHAW

DOUDS - Ivan H. Crenshaw, 81, a retired Douds farmer, died today at 6:05 a.m. at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua, where he was admitted Sunday.

He was born Sept. 14, 1894, in Jefferson County to Emra and Elizabeth Hall Crenshaw. On Sept. 5, 1922, he married Anna Belle Hollander in Ottumwa. They farmed in Jefferson and Van Buren counties, with the past 39 years near Douds.

Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Knecht of Corning and Mrs. Willard Hoskin of Keosauqua; two sons, Melvin of Phoenix, Ariz., and Vinson of Wichita, Kan.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Harold of Stockport.

He served in the Army Mounted Engineers in World War I, and was a member of Beer-Barker Post 113, American Legion, at Keosauqua.

The body is at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua. On Monday at 9 a.m., the body will be taken to Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds for the service Monday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Donald Strauch will officiate, and burial will be in Leando Cemetery.
