Frank William Burns was born May 17, 1874 at Keosauqua, Iowa and departed this life December 4, 1933, at his home near Keosauqua, aged 59 years, 6 months and 17 days.
He was the son of Robert and Mary Burns, who preceded him in death.
On January 4, 1899, he was united in marriage to Ada Belle Murphy of Vernon, Iowa, who preceded him in death February 3, 1904. To this union one daughter was born, Bernice of Galesburg, Ill.
On April 15, 1906, he was united in marriage to Myrta Celia Ward of Vernon, Iowa who is left to mourn his untimely death. To this union one daughter was born, Mrs. Clara Alexander, who also survives. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Bertha Beatty of Cantril, and one brother Charles Burns of Hollywood, Calif., also one grandson and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at his late home Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 conducted by Elder H.C. Shaw of Cantril. Elder Shaw and Elder B.B. Redmon of Bloomfield, Iowa, sang "Going Down the Valley" and "No Disappointment in Heaven." Elder Redmon sang "No Night There." They were accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Shaw.
Pallbearers were: Lloyd Jamison, Gene Alexander, Rob Hannah, Will Zachan, Jim Burkett, Tom Matchett. Burial was at Bentonsport, Iowa.
