Alice Hissem

Mrs. Alice Hissem, 93, formerly of 107 S. Adella, died today at 2:55 a.m. at St. Joseph Hospital.

Born Nov. 15, 1882, at Douds to George and Radilla Sampson Morrow, she had been an Ottumwa resident since 1930 and was a member of the Royal Neighbors. She married Francis Rump April 21, 1908. He died April 27, 1914. Later she married Jess T. Hissem Feb. 12, 1919. He died Oct. 13, 1954.

Survivors are two sons, Maurice Rump and Jesse T. Hissem, both of Ottumwa; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Maude Vaughn and Mrs. Anna Lasley, both of Corning, Calif.; two stepsons, Earl Hissem of Santa Monica, Calif. and Weldon Hissem of Knoxville; 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; six sisters, Mrs. Emma McKenzie of Davenport, Mrs. Elizabetfh(err) Parsons of Gladbrook, Mrs. Jennie Meyers of Fairfield; Mrs. Edna Rambo of Baraboo, Wis., Mrs. Margaret Hootman of Memphis, Mo., and Mrs. Rowena Harryman of Douds; and three brothers, George and Emmett Morrow, both of Riverside, Calif. and Lester Morrow of Ogallala, Neb.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the Reece Funeral Home. A memorial has been established payable to the St. Joseph Hospital Extended Care Unit.
