ELDON - William (Bert) Salter, 60, of Clinton, formerly of Eldon, died Thursday at a Clinton hospital.

The service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Snell-Smith Funeral Home in Clinton. A graveside service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Eldon Cemetery.

Visitation at the funeral home will be until 9 p.m. today.

Mr. Salter was born Sept. 30, 1915, in Selma to James and Maude Strang Salter. On Oct. 25, 1941, he married Pearle Wilson in Yuma, Ariz. she survives.

Also surviving are one son, Larry W. of Fulton, Ill., and one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Niebuhr of Clinton.

He was a salesman for Swift & Company, working out of Rochelle, Ill. He had lived in Clinton 15 years.
