Burchett funeral

MILTON - The service for Burr B. Burchett, 76, who died Nov. 18, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Milton Christian Church, with the Rev. Gerald Caughron officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.

Wellborn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Burchett was born Oct. 27, 1899, five miles northeast of Milton to John and Martha Bonar Burchett.

A farmer, he was on the REC Board of Bloomfield for 27 years, serving 10 years as secretary and six years as vice president, and on the Palmyra, Mo., REC board for 20 years, serving 10 years as secretary. He also had been an insurance adjuster.

On Jan. 13, 1926, he married Aneth Price in Bloomfield. She survives as do two sons, Burton of San Francisco, who has been serving with the U.S. Navy off the coast of Africa, and Edwin of Milton; one daughter, Charlotte Swanson of Danville; and four grandchildren.
