LEWIS W. HAMILTON

Lewis W. Hamilton, son of William H. and Annis Scott Hamilton, was born December 8, 1908, at Knoxville and departed this life Thursday, Nov. 20, 1975 at the Ottumwa Hospital at the age of 66.

As a child he moved to Eldon where he lived most of his life. He graduated from Eldon where he lived most of his life. He graduated from Eldon High School in 1928 and resided there until moving to Otumwa(err) in August 1974.

On September 29, 1931, he was married to Bernice Kunzan(Kunzman) at Lancaster, Mo. She (remains) to cherish his memory (along) with their daughter, Mrs. (Marcene) Anderson of Ft. Lewis, Washington; three sons, William of Ottawa, Ill., Kenneth of Port Byron, Ill., and Ronald of Duluth, Minn. Also surviving are eight grandchildren; a brother, Harold of Centralia, Washington, a sister, Mrs. LaRue Allen of Eldon, other relatives and many friends. Lewis was a long time employe of John Morrell & Co. in Ottumwa, retiring Jan. 1, 1973.

He was an acitve member of the North Court Baptist Church since moving to Ottumwa, having previously been active in the Eldon Baptist Church. He will be remembered as a devoted husband and father, a good nieighbor and friend.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 22, 1975 at 2 p.m. at the North Court Bpatist Church in Ottumwa, with the Rev. Ronald Abbas officiating. Interment was in the Eldon Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of Pedrick Funeral home, Douds.
