DAVID LYNN THOMAS

David Lynn Thomas, son of Otto and Irene Thomas, was born January 10, 1954, in Mayfield, Kentucky, and departed this life, July 28, 1975, as the result of an auto accident near Fairfield, Iowa.

The family moved from Kentucky to Missouri and California, and has lived in Douds since 1968. David was employed at Fairfield Aluminum Castings Co. in Fairfield.

Remaining to cherish his memory are his parents, of Douds, his fiance, Barbara Hostetter of Fairfield; four brothers, Billie Joe of Hartford, Illinois, Gerald Lee of East Prairie, Missouri, Marion Lee and Anthony Wayne of Fairfield; four sisters, Mrs. Virginia Hedgecoth and Mrs. Yvonne Parker, both of California, and Charlotte and Christine, both at home, other relatives and friends. A sister, Glynda Joyce Jackson preceded him in death.

Though his span of life was short, the impression he made in the hearts of his family and friends will live on forever.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 30, 1975, at 2 p.m. at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Charles Peterson of Douds Bible Baptist Church officiating. George Wemmie was the soloist, accompanied by Paul Wemmie. Paul bearers were Dennis and Pheris Hemm, Scott McGee, Tim Clawson, Harold Ross and Lyman Harris. Interment was in Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Douds.
