HELEN LOUISE MAHLER BAKER

Helen Louise Mahler Baker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mahler was born June 29, 1920, at Bonaparte, Iowa. She graduated from high school in Bonaparte, and later graduated from the University of Iowa College of Nursing. She faithfully served Hamilton County as a public health nurse.

She was joined in marriage to Ralph O. Baker on September 20, 1945, in Iowa City.

Helen was called to her eternal home in heaven after a long illnes last Wednesday afternoon at the age of 55 years, 1 mongh, and 1 day.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph; her son, Gary L. Baker; two daughters, Cherly A. Baker and Lillian M. Baker; her mother, Mrs. Lillian Pickard of Bonaparte, Iowa; and a brother, Roger Manler of Jacksonville, Florida. She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers.

Helen was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Our Lord who rose from the grave on that first Easter day says: "I am the Resurrection and the Life. He who believes in Me, though her were death, yet shall he live, and who ever lives and believes in Me shall never die."
