Willard "Bus" Phillips, 66, died early Monday, July 28, at his home in Fort Madison.
Born July 11, 1909, in Farmington, he was the son of Marshall D. and Amanda L. Davis Phillips. June 6, 1931, he married Lucinda Shafer in Carthage, Illinois. A lifetime resident of the Fort Madison - Farmington area, he was a 25-year employe of Santa Fe railroad; a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and Modern Woodmen.
Surviving: The wife; a daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Joann) Gunn, Fort Madison; three brothers, Herman, Bloomfield, Howard, Canton, Missouri, Jack, Centerville; a sister, Mrs. Alice Hart, Centerville; two grandchildren.
Funeral was 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison; Oakland Cemetery. Contributions for a memorial may be left at Barr Memorial Chapel.
