Mrs. Annie May Gardner

Mrs. Annie May Gardner, 82, Bentonsport, died at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, in Fort Madison Nursing Care Center where she had lived since last November.

She was born December 30, 1892, in Van Buren County, the daughter of Alonzo and Etta Corns. She married John Gardner, June 12, 1916, at Centerville.

Surviving: The husband, a son, Newton O., Chicago, Illinois; seven daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Geneva) Gardner, Bedford, Indiana, and Mrs. Roman (Wanda) Gilway, Hammond, Indiana, Mrs. Walter (Betty) Sloman, Mrs. Paulina Warnke, Mrs. Robert (Lulu) Sucholoski, Mrs. Fred (Lucy) Simeoni, Mrs. Robert (Martha) Martin, all of Chicago; three sisters, Mrs. Sadie Marriott, Huntington Beach, California, Mrs. Marie Arnold, Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Katherine Corns, Denmark, and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral was 10 a.m. Saturday, at the Bonaparte Presbyterian Church, Rev. Scott Holmes, Oakland Cemetery at Fort Madison. Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington, was in charge of arrangements.
