ERLE D. LAYMAN

Services for Erle D. Layman, 86, of rural Farmington, who died Thursday, July 10, at Kahoka, Missouri, were at 2 p.m. Monday at the Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, Rev. David Kennedy; Maple Hill cemetery, Birmingham.

He was subscription representative for the Des Moines Register for a number of years until his retirement in 1970.

The son of Allen and Olive Davis Layman, he was born September 14, 1888, in Kansas. November 30, 1919, he married Carrie Winslow at Birmingham. She died in 1969. He was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving: One son, William, Carroll, Fairfield, Lloyd Burlington; two sisters, Mrs. Olive Spees, Selma, and Mrs. Ruth Cockerell, Burlington.
