LAWRENCE L. MIZE

Lawrence L. Mize, son of Lewis and Nannie Fowler Mize, was born December 1, 1883, on a farm near Mt. Sterling, Iowa, and departed this life, March 31, 1975, in Broadlawns Hospital, Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 91 years.

On September 1, 1915, he married Ora M. Strait at Keosauqua, Iowa. She passed away April 30, 1973.

Survivors include a sister, Alice Mize, of Stockport; a niece; nephews; cousins; and friends.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded by his parents, a sister, Mrs. John Jessie Eager, and a brother, Lewis Clinton.

Lawrence spent the fore part of his life farming on and near his birthplace, and the latter as a carpenter and laborer. After leaving for awhile in Washington, D.C., then near Ankeny, Iowa, and finally in Des Moines for moare than thirty-five years.

He was a devoted son, husband brother, and had endured a long infirmity.

Graveside services were held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 4, in the Center Chapel Cemetery, southeast of Keosauqua. The Rev. Richard Pfaltgraff, Methodist minister of Des Moines, officiated.
