Puffinbarger rites

A graveside service for Harley Laverne Puffinbarger, 72, of Salina, Okla., who died Saturday, was held today in Passmore Cemetery at Selma, with the Rev. Alton Chiles officiating.

Mr. Puffinbarger was born in 1902 at Selma, and later lived in Birmingham and Ottumwa.

Surviving are his widow, Grace; three daughters, Elaine, Irene and Gwendolyn; two sons, Lyle and Harley Lee; four half sisters, Clara Fletcher of Blakesburg, Hildred Bell of Ottumwa, Juanita Wood of Waterloo and Mamie Shutt of Belle Plaine; and five half brothers, Clyde Jones of Eldon, George, Lando and Clarence Jones, all of Rock Island, Ill., and Eugene Jones of Des Moines. A half brother preceded him in death.
