MRS. MARGUERITE NEWBERRY

Mrs. Marguerite Irene Newberry, 73, 611 Ave. H, died unexpectedly Tuesday, January 6, at Sacred Heart hospital.

She was born July 6, 1901, at Farmington, the daughter of Charles and Mattie Mae Close Weiher. She married Ralph B. Newberry October 14, 1921, in Keokuk. He died in 1936. Mrs. Newberry was the retired owner-operator of Distinctive Decorators and a member of many Lee county fraternal organizations.

Surviving: two sons, Dale, Fort Madison, Frank, Burlington; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, at the First United Methodist church, Rev. Lester Jones; Oakland cemetery. Memorials have been established with the Heart and Cancer societies.
