James Randolph

BONAPARTE - James W. Randolph, 60, died Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in Bonaparte.

He was born Aug. 12, 1914, at Bentonsport to John and Mary Brown Randolph. A Bonaparte resident most of his life, he was a construction employe.

He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Sargeant-Osweiler American Legion Post in Bonaparte. He married Faye J. Watts Dec. 23, 1935, in Bonaparte.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Shirley Ridgeway of Fairfield, Mrs. Lois Munford of Palmer, Alaska, and Mrs. Connie Ward of Bonaparte; seven grandchildren; one brother, Jake of Bonaparte; and four sisters, Mrs. Ben Scott of Keosauqua, Mrs. John Reed of Michigan, Mrs. Ora Madden of Ottumwa and Mrs. Fannie Jobe of Des Moines. He was preceded in death by one brother.

The service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Bonaparte Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Scott Homes officiating. Burial will be in the Bonaparte Cemetery.

The body will be at the Carl Wilson Home at Bonaparte Thursday afternoon. Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
