John Harvey Hull was born in Van Buren county, May 3, 1866 and departed from this life March 3, 1932, being 65 years and 10 months old at the time of his death.
He was the son of Charles and Rhoda Ann Hull, being the oldest of three children. One sister, Selina Lorning, who has preceded him in death and one brother, George A. of Cantril.
On February 1, 1891, he was united in marriage to Laura B. Wollam. To this union four children were born--Jesse Glen, who died in infancy; Charles Leo and William Earle, of Cantril and Mrs. Nannie Gore, of Keosauqua; and a foster daughter Mrs. Addie Barker of Gibbs, Mo.
He was first stricken with paralysis December 12, 1931, and has since been in failing health. All through his illness he bore his suffering patiently and when stricken at the last was planning to move to Cantril. He was a kind husband and father, always ready to do what he thought was for the best.
He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, 2 sons, 1 daughter and 1 foster daughter, 8 grandchildren and one brother, George A., of Cantril and a host of relatives and friends.
We miss thee from our home, dear father;
We miss thee from they place,
A shadow o'er our life is cast;
We miss the sunshine of thy face;
We miss they kind and willing hand,
The fond and earnest care,
Our home is dark without thee
We miss thee everywhere.We wish to express our thanks to all of our friends and neighbors for their sympathy and assistance at the death of our dear husband and father. The Family.
