Mae Ida Edwards

Mae Ida Edwards, 50, of Bonaparte died at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 28 at Mt. Pleasant, after several weeks illness.

She was born July 21, 1922 at Mt. Sterling, the daughter of Glenn and Myrtle Mathews Edwards. She spent her entire life in the Bonaparte area and was a member of the Bonaparte Baptist Church.

She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Myrtle Edwards of Bonaparte; one son, Daniel Edwards of Iowa City; and one sister, Mrs. Velda Lunsford of Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by her father.

The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 1 in the Bonaparte Baptist Church. The Rev. Gerald Ogden officiated. Burial was in the Thompson cemetery. Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home had charge of the service.
