Res Runyon

Rex Runyon, 71, of Hillsboro, died at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 15, in the Van Buren county hospital, Keosauqua.

Mr. Runyon was born Dec. 3, 1901, near Hillsboro, the son of Lewis and Ida Mae Boley Runyon, and married Fern Philips Oct. 1, 1925 at Fairfield.

He was a retired farmer and member of the Hillsboro Baptist church.

Surviving: The wife; Hillsboro, daughter, Mrs. William Newman, Burlington; two sons William and Milo, both of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Hillsboro Baptist church; Rev. Lester Smith; Hillsboro cemetery. The body is at the Beatty-Jennings chapel, Salem. A memorial has been established to the Iowa Commission for the Blind.
