Lester A. Martin

Lester A. Martin, 41, of Donnellson died unexpectedly at 2 a.m. Tuesday April 17 at his home in Donnellson.

He was born May 25, 1931, at Ft. Madison, the son of Lynn P. and Ruth Davis Brown. On February 19, 1956, in Ft. Madison he married Marilyn L. Norder of Montrose.

He spent his childhood in the Ft. Madison and Donnellson areas and had lived in California for 16 years, moving back to Donnellson in 1969.

He was owner operator of the T.J. Cafe, Donnellson; a member of the Green Acres Country Club at Donnellson and the Elks Club at Ft. Madison. He was a Navy veteran.

Besides his wife and father, he is survived by one daughter, Teresa Jaqlyn Martin and one son, John Alan Martin, both at home, one sister, Mrs. James A. (Sue) Fisher of Coralville Iowa. He was preceded in death by his mother and stepmother.

The funeral service will be held Thursday April 19 at 2 p.m. at the Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home in Donnellson. The Rev. Clarence Pautt will officiate. Burial will be in the Ashton Cemetery at Ashton, Mo. The body is at the Miller-Hofbaur Funeral Home in Donnellson.
