Tom Epperly

Tom Epperly, aged 78, died Jan. 24, 1973 after a lenghty illness. Funeral services were held Saturday Jan. 27 at Marshalltown where he had lived for a number of years. Burial was at Allison. He was born in Bonaparte, Ia. the son of Silas and Martha Smith Epperly. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, and was employed by Telephone Companies in different counties in Iowa and at the time of his retirement was manager of the R.E.C. in Marshalltown.

He is survived by his wife, Vera Steinmeyer Epperly, one daughter Anette Aschan, one grandson, Burke Aschan, one sister Lou Gaffin of Longmont, Colorado, two nieces and four nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son Billy Epperly, one sister, Cora, two brothes Charley and Leslie Epperly.

Those attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Epperly of Milton, Mr. and Mrs. Dee McGrath of Keosauqua, RR, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Epperly of What Cheer.
