LONNIE LOWERY

Lonnie Lowery, 87, of Farmington died at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9 in Memorial Hospital at Keosauqua where he had been hospitalized for two days.

He was born Aug. 3, 1885 in Clark County, Mo., the son of George and Malinda Cartnal Lowery. On March 5, 1910 he was married to Nellie Ruth Dorothy at Bonaparte. He had lived in Farmington for 29 years and was a retired farmer and gardener.

He is survived by two sons, Glenn of West Branch, Ia. and Raymond of Bonaparte; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Gladys) Muntz and Mrs. Eugene (Mabel) Medaris, both of Farmington; one brother, Orval Lowery of Des Moines; two sisters, Pearl Reeves of Colorado Springs, Colol. and Dorothy Manshien of Fresno, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, two sons, one sister and three brothers.

The funeral service was held Saturday, Jan. 13 at 2 p.m. at the Farmington United Methodist Church, burial was in Greenglade Cemetery, Farmington.
