Richard Klug

Richard Klug, 89, of Argyle, died at 5:45 p.m. in Sacred Heart hospital, Fort Madison, Iowa.

He was born July 21, 1883 at Berlin, Germany, the son of the late Herman and Bertha Klug.

On March 21, 1917 at Donnellson, Iowa, he married Helen Weigard. He was a farmer.

He is survived by one son, Edward, of Argyle, and one daughter, Mrs. Leo Farrell of Argyle; one brother, Herman of Argyle; and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Winstead of Argyle and Mrs. Sidney Holmes of Stockport; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

His parents and wife preceded him in death.

The funeral service was held Tuesday, Oct. 3 at 10 a.m. at the Miller Hofbauer Funeral Home in Donnellson, the Rev. Kenneth Harden officiated. Burial was at String Prairie cemetery.
