Lorenzo Endersby

Lorenzo Endersby, 94, of Hillsboro, died at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7 at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua. He was a retired Van Buren County farmer and had ranched in Montana.

He was born Jan. 27, 1878, in Van Buren County, the son of Arthura nd Anna Smith Endersby. He married Goldie Horn in 1905. She died in 1928. He married Virginia Bancroft in 1940.

He is survived by his widow; one son, David Endersby of Sioux Rapids, iowa; three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren; a nephew, Arthur Page of Hillsboro; two step-children, Virginia and Dick Bancroft preceded him in death, as did 10 brothers and two sisters.

Catcott Funeral Home in Keosauqua had charge of arrangements.

The funeral was held Sunday, Sept. 10, in the Hillsboro Christian Church with the Rev. Lester H. Smith officiating. Burial was in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
