Mrs. Charles Cumming

The funeral service for Mrs. Vivian Louise Cumming, 49, Hillsboro, who suffered a fatal heart attack Sunday, Sept. 10, while vacationing at Anna, ill., was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Beatty-Jennings Chapel, at Salem. Burial was in the Hillsboro cemetery.

Mrs. Cumming(err) was the daughter of David and Vera Sanderson Thornton, and was born Augl 21, 1923, at Hillsboro. She married Raymond R. Spray, he died Nov. 3, 1955; and on Dec. 31, 1966, she married Charles Cumming at Kahoka, Mo.

Mrs. Cumming was a member of the American Legion auxiliary.

Surviving are her husband; a son and three daughters, Dan Spray of Ames, Jeanne and Christine Spray and Mrs. Charlotte Wells, all of Los Angeles; three brothers, Bob Thornton of Lexington, Ky., Jack Thornton of Stockport and Dick Thornton of Ottumwa; four grandchildren; and her mother, Mrs. Vera Thornton of Hillsboro.
