Service for Mrs. John Streeby

ELDON - Mrs. Rosemary F. Streeby, 46, died at Ottumwa Hospital at 3 p.m. Thursday.

She was born Feb. 15, 1926 in Eldon to Glenn C. and Madge Ferris Findlay and spent most of her life in the Eldon area.

She attended Iowa Wesleyan College at Mount Pleasant, was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority, the Eldon United Methodist Church, the Shakespeare Club and the PEO.

She married John S. Streeby Feb. 28, 1944. He survives.

Other survivors include two son, Victor of Eldon and Michael of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.; one daughter, Amy Jane of the home; two grandchildren; two brothers, Robert of Eldon and Ned of Moline, Ill. and one sister, Mrs. Margaret Hancock of Eldon.

The funeral was at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Campbell Funeral Home in Eldon conducted by the Rev. Robert Cumings. Organist was Leone Fowler, and the pallbearers were Tim Streeby, Bob Hughes, Jerry Jeffrey, David Streeby, Jim Courtney and Bob Hancock. Burial was in the Eldon Cemetary. A memorial has been established payable to the Eldon Public Library.
