Mrs. Verna M. Brown
Mrs. Verna M. Brown, 67, of Salem, died Friday, Aug. 17, at her home.
She was born April 5, 1905, near Stockport, the daughter of Charles and Nellie Wasson Harlan. On April 26, 1926, she married Raymond Brown at Kahoka, Mo. He died Nov. 19, 1962.
She was a member of the Big Cedar Christian Church near Stockport and the Salem Woman's Club. She was a clerk at the Salem post office.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Ruth Heinzl of Salem; two brothers, Leslie of Modesto, Calif. and Carrol of Moline, Ill.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 20 at the Big Cedar Christian Church with the Rev. Waylen Brown officiating. Burial was in the Glasgow cemetery.
