Otto Walton

Otto Walton, 83, of Washington, Ia. died Wednesday, Aug. 16, at 8 p.m. in Van Buren county Memorial hospital, Keosauqua.

He was born June 29, 1889 at Brighton, Ia., the son of Charles and Lotetia Torrey Walton.

He married Mary Fetters Feb. 26, 1919 at Washington. She died Sept. 28, 1971.

Mr. Walton had been a trustee in Clay Township. He was a member of the Presbyterian church. He farmed in Jefferson county from 1931 o 1942 when he moved to Washington.

Surviving are one son, Donald of Farmington with whom he made his home the past ten months; one daughter, Mrs. Wilma Owens of Dayton, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Ralph Wikoff and Mrs. Elsie Madden, both of Brighton, and Mrs. Cora Wilburt of Buffalo, Mo.; seven grandchilden and two great grandchildren.

The funeral service was held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Friends church in Pleasant Plain, Ia. The Rev. Naomie Lock officiated. Burial was in the Friends cemetery near the church. The Jones Funeral Home in Washington was in charge.
