BONAPARTE - LeRoy R. Mitchell, 30, of Burbank, Calif. died Sunday in Burbank.

He was born April 4, 1941, at Bonaparte, the son of William and Viola Walker Mitchell, and spent his childhood here.

He married Judith Voorhees on Sept. 7, 1969 in Burbank. She survives. He moved to newton in 1951 and graduated from school there in 1966. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 to 1966. He was a bookkeeper and had been a resident of California since 1966. He was of the Presbyterian faith.

Surviving, in addition to his widow are his parents of Newton; one brother, Ray L. Mitchell, also of Newton and one sister, Martha Jo Lisk of Greenfield, Iowa. He was preceded in death by an infant sister.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Bonaparte Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Edward Maus officiating. Burial will be in Bonaparte Cemetery. The Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
