Gertrude Folker

Gertrude M. Folker, 85, of Farmington, died at 8:45 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, at the Fort Madison Nursing Care Center. She had been seriously ill three moths.

She was born April 1, 1886, at Acasto, Mo., the daughter of Joseph and Hanna Ross Folker.

She was a resident of Farmington for 33 years and was a housekeeper. She was a member of the Farmington United Methodist church.

She is survived by one son, J.R. Jacks of Fort Madison; one sister, Mrs. Lillie Willits of Farmington; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

The funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, in the Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home at Farmington. The Rev. C.C. Swalwell officiated. Burial was in Christy cemetery, Acasto, Mo.
