Elmer W. Gee

FARMINGTON - Elmer Walter Gee, 74, of Farmington, died unexpectedly Tuesday night in Sacred Heart Hospital at Fort Madison.

The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Barr Chapel in Fort Madison. The Rev. Gerald Sawyer will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery at Fort Madison.

He was born Aug. 25, 1897, in Fort Madison and lived there until 1960 when he moved to Farmington. He was a retired forge shop foreman for the American Fork and Hoe Co. in Fort Madison. He was a member of the Christian Church.

He married Feb. 19, 1919 in Keosauqua to Lena Rosa Scotton, who survives.

He also leaves one son, Robert Walter Gee of Topeka, Kan.; three daughters, Mrs. George Fugate of Newberg, Ore., Mrs. Fred Chestnut of Wever, and Mrs. Floyd Harrison of Revere, Mo.; one brother, Wilburn Gee of Fort Madison, and two half-sisters, Mrs. Mildred Scotton of Fort Madison and Mrs. Vera Sutton of California.
