DOUDS - Mrs. Lizzie Samuels, 94, widow of William J. Samuels, died at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

She was born Feb. 23, 1877 at Virginia, Ill. On May 1, 1901 she married William Samuels who died in 1957. She was also preceded in death by one son and one grandson.

The family lived at Hamilton, Iowa, until 1917 when they moved to Douds. She was a member of the Hamilton Methodist Church and a life member of O.E.S. and Pythian Sisters of Douds.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Clyde Loomis of Douds and Mrs. Joe Roby of Lombard, Ill.; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be Sunday, 2 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerald Caughron of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Leando Cemetery.
