Friday morning, March 2, 1883 wife of Samnel H. Sharp and daughter of James F. and Caroline Cogar.Deceased was born in Marion county Mo., Sept. 7th, 1845. When she was quite young she, with her parents, came to Iowa, and soon after settled in Bonaparte where she lived until she was married to her now bereaved husband on the 6th day of June, 1865. Since her marriage she has lived in Illlinois most of the time, and from that state moved to Texas in Oct. 1882 where she remained a short time, and then returned to Bonaparte to make it her home. She was taken sick, and after two weeks illness died March 24, 1883, aged 37 years, 5 months and 25 days. She leaves one son, James H. Sharp. The funeral took place at the residence Saturday, Mar. 3d, and was attended by a large concourse of friends. The services were conducted by Rev. G. W. Barber, assisted by Rev. Carroll.
