Harold C. Baughman

Harold Christian Baughman, 86, of Bloomfield died July 16, 1987, at the Long Term Care Center in Bloomfield.

He was born March 28, 1901, in Pulaski to William Christian and Anna Augspurger Baughman. A farmer, he was a lifetime member of the Angus Association. He was also a former board member and president of the Citizens Mutual Telephone Company and formerly served as a Soil Conservation commissioner. He previously served as a member of the board of trustees for Bluffton College in Bluffton, Ohio, and was a member of the Independent Telephone Pioneer Association. He married Gladys Mae Meredith Jan. 3, 1929 in Davis County.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mary Ann Fisher and Joy Evans, Bloomfield; three sons, James and William of Pulaski, and Glenn of Des Moines; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The service was Saturday, July 18, 1987 at the Pulaski Mennonite Church, the Rev. Charles King officiating. Burial was in Pulaski Cemetery.

Memorials have been established to the Long Term Care Center and the Pulaski Mennonite Church Library.
