PEARL G. BARROW

Pearl Grace Barrow, daughter of Harley and Lillian Hornbaker Perkins, was born may 29, 1916, at Farmington and departed this life Thursday, April 21, 1977, at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua at the age of 60. She suffered a long illness with cancer.

Pearl graduated from Farmington High School, attended Iowa State Teacher's College at Cedar Falls, and taught in rural schools in Van Buren and Lee counties.

On June 21, 1941, she married Robert Barrow at Hannibal, Mo. They farmed in the Lebanon community until moving to Keosauqua in October, 1976.

Remaining to cherish her memory are her widower, two sons, Lloyd of Iowa City and William of Marion, six grandchildren, her mother of Farmington, a sister, Mrs. Ruth Grossman of Argyle, other relatives and many friends. She was an active member of the Lebanon United Methodist Church and its United Methodist women, of which she was a past president and life member. Pearl will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who did her best for her family, her church, and her community.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 23, 1977, at 2 P.M. at the Lebanon United Methodist Church, with the Rev. L.C. Brown and the Rev. Helen Brown, officiating. Interment was in Greenglade Cemetery at Farmington. Arrangements were in charge of Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua. A memorial was established for the Cancer Fund.
